"I" Week & My Future...Uh...Dancer??

I was a complete ignoramus about what to do for "I" Week. I mean, how much stuff actually starts with "I" beside I, as in ME. And instead of teaching my kid to be a complete narcisist, and totally self-centered, we tried to find other things to do AND eat.

So..........

We made an IGLOO out of ICING, sugar cubes, and coconut. In the end it didn't really look like an igloo, but instead a big lump of sugar and white flakes, but it was fun.
We ate ITALIAN sausages. In fact, Tyler stood in time out for probably an hour off and on because he refused to try the Italian Sausage and I had had enough of his stubborness and so we fought....for a long time...and when he finally tried it, guess what he said? Mmmmmmmmm that's yummy! ARG!
We drank IBC. I didn't have to persuade Tyler to try THAT.
We made bug I's and little i's and traced them.
We used ICING to decorate our ICED brownies.
We read I'M Not Scared, IF I Ran the Circus, and I'D Really Like To Eat A Child.
We played an I Spy Game outside. I gave clues to Tyler about things I saw outside and when he guessed them, he got to stick a picture of that item on his paper. For example...I spy with my little eye something in the sky that is bright and yellow and makes us warm. Guess: the sun! YAY!
We ate ITALIAN ICE.
We ate ITALIAN Noodles and ITALIAN cheesy bread. Ok, so Italian noodles are actually called spaghetti, but work with me here!
AND we went ice skating!! Tyler started out a little shaky, but was doing it all by himself at the end. He didn't fall ONCE...by accident...but he fell a bunch of times on purpose.
After I Week was over, we hit up the Dance Studio for a Back To Dance Hip Hop Party. There was a room filled with gymnastics equipment that the kids got to try out, tons of dancing, which Tyler attempted. And LOTS of adoring fans...I mean girls.
Tyler starts his first class tomorrow at the studio... NO, not dance. It's a class called KidFit, which is gymnastics and motor skills, like hula hoops, and balls and stuff. I am betting he will have a ton of fun! I just wish there were more kids in his class...

Incredible!! I would have eaten Ice Cream every day for a week and called it good. Guess that's why Tyler is so smart!

You are so lucky to have a place where Tyler can hang out and play and take fun classes! Makes me wanna go back to teaching water aerobics to elderly people again just so my kids can have free swimming lessons and gym child care!
