Even though we only had about half the primary kids show up, and no one brought any friends, we had a lot of fun.
When the kids got there, they "checked in" for their flight and received a missionary nametag.
They then boarded the plane and headed off for Mexico, Africa, France, or the United States. On the plane they watched an in-flight movie, had a snack and drink service, and heard from their Captain - Brother Butler.
After the plane "landed" they embarked to their four destinations. At those destinations they learned about different aspects of the country, and also learned a little about missionary work: baptism, new members, tracting, and being a missionary now.
At the end of the four stations, they got to draw a picture or write a letter to our full time missionaries, or write their testimony in a Book of Mormon to give to a friend.
We did have some teachers show up, and out of those teachers "some" of them decided to help out, but some decided to visit with their friends instead (sorry - had to thrown in my pet peeve of the activity).
But...all in all I would consider it a great activity, because even if only ONE kid had a good time, it was worth it!
