Christmas 2008

Christmas this year was a little on the crazy side. We started out at 7am opening presents at our house. Tyler was so happy that Santa came and brought him exactly what he wanted: "Hockey goal, hockey sticks," and he didn't want to open anything else. Once we finally got him to check out the other presents, he decided he also really liked his tool bench and race track; however, he wasn't especially enthused about his new clothes.

After presents at our house, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Anderton's house to have breakfast and open presents there. Grandma and Grandpa, (and Gary), won Tyler over with a new bike. Even though we didn't get it put together until the day after, he had fun playing with the radio and turn signals, and also with his two cousins: Lucy and Lizzie.

After that, we came home and helped Dan move Becky's new treadmill over to their house, and then hurried over to Grandma and Grandpa Larson's house. Tyler loved his new trucks from his Uncle Chris, and even ate a little bit of Christmas dinner before insisting he go play.

The only unfortunate part was that we got home too late for Tyler to play with all his presents. I think next year maybe we will have the grandparents come to us so that Tyler has plenty of play time. He went to bed late crying "I wanna play Hockey, Mommy!"
